After graduating high school, I plan to attend a four year university in the fall. Although I am not entirely sure where I will be going yet, it will likely be somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. I am currently going to major in environmental science, with a possible concentration in sustainability or conservation. I am very interested in doing undergraduate research while I am in college, and hope to get as much field experience as I can through internships as well. After graduating college, I will likely attend graduate school, in order to further my education. I want to enter a career based around field research, working to conserve and restore wild areas.

Although I am planning to enter a very STEM based education and career, I want to continue exercising my creative side. I hope to be able to make art while I am in school, and possibly keep working to connect my art to nature. After school, I also want to continue making art. If I end up in a field based career, I hope to be able to do art while I am in the field and then sell it as a way to help educate people about the importance of restoring and protecting wild areas. Nature is a huge source of inspiration for my artwork, and I have really enjoyed intertwining the two during my time in AP Art. I definitely want to continue doing this, as I think that interdisciplinary learning is very important, and since I have learned so much about nature and art while completing my AP Art portfolios.
