This is one of my experimental pieces to develop my colored pencil skills. I have never done a portrait with this medium before, so I felt that it was important to step away from drawing animals in order to familiarize myself with the human form. Although this piece does not directly follow the theme of my inquiry question, it helped me to refine my skills in areas I have not experimented in before. I used both my master and current artists as references to blending on the skin, and texture in the hair.
